MELVIN ELLIOT After a lengthy illness, Melvin Elliot passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Melvin was predeceased by his wife of nearly 58 years of marriage, May, on April 8, 2008. He was also predeceased by his sister Gladys Whitehead, and his brother Norman Elliot. He leaves his son Mark, of Winnipeg. Melvin was born on September 21, 1925 and lived at McTavish. He was a farmer until he moved into the Morris Manor in his later years. He enjoyed fishing on the weekends, a means to enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature. A special thanks and appreciation to the Homecare Staff while he lived in the Manor. More special thanks are to be given to all the staff and doctors of the Morris General Hospital, for the excellent care that Melvin received in the latter months. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6, or a charity of one's choice. Viewing and prayers will be held at the Morris Funeral Home on Friday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church in Morris on Saturday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m., with cremation to follow.
